Board of Directors
David has more than 20 years' experience in leading large corporate divisions in complex engineering environments and successfully implementing turnaround strategies. Most recently, David was Managing Director of Maritime Services at BAE Systems. Other previous roles include chief executive of defence infrastructure organisation at Capita, managing director at AirTanker Services, and managing director at Flagship Training Ltd. David brings with him a wealth of experience which the Company believes will benefit its ability to execute the transformation of its business
Ollie is a highly driven, commercially astute senior leader with 20+ years Commercial and Business Development experience across Technology and Engineering sectors.
Ollie has worked extensively across Europe, North America and Asia and has held a variety of commercial leadership roles in FTSE 100, private equity owned and start-up companies.
Most recently Ollie was Chief Commercial Officer for an EV battery start up where he led the acquisition of new customer partnerships with some of the world's leading car brands.
Prior to that, roles held include VP Commercial and Business Development for a market leading global automotive engineering firm with responsibility for driving the sales growth of its electrification business unit, and VP Customer Business Group where he was responsible for leading multiple large and complex key accounts across Europe and Asia with over $1bn cumulative revenues.
Ollie holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from Imperial College London
Mark is the group Chief Financial Officer and joined Sondrel in November 2024. Mark has over 24 years of finance experience including working within private equity portfolio companies. He is a FCA (Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) as well as CFA Charterholder (CFA Institute, USA)
Mark joins us from Isle where he held the position of Group CFO and was part of the senior leadership team and sat on the group board. Isle is a global innovation consultancy specialising in the development and commercialisation of emerging technologies in the water and environmental sectors. Isle was backed by Palatine Private Equity and was held within Impact Fund II. Isle operated globally with operations in 8 countries with close to 100 consultants.
Prior to Isle, Mark worked at ICAS World, also holding the position as Group CFO. ICAS was also a private equity backed company and operates in over 150 countries around the world with offices in 18 countries. The company was a global provider of mental health in the workplace and its clients include many Fortune 500 companies, parastatals and SMEs. Mark was a board member of the holding company and many of the operating entities, as well as a member for the group audit committee and group risk committee. Mark also sat on the group executive committee.
Prior to joining ICAS, Mark held positions in the financial services industry including banking and asset management and worked at HSBC Global Markets, Barings Asset management Ignis Asset Management and Sarasin and Partners.
Graham founded Sondrel in 2002 after identifying a gap in the market for an international company specialising in complex digital IC design.
Prior to establishing Sondrel, Graham graduated in Electronic Engineering from Leeds University and worked in both ASIC design and manufacturing before joining electronic design automation (“EDA”) company, Avant! Corporation. There, he managed the technical and marketing teams across EMEA, supporting products across the whole range of IC design.
In 2010, Graham accompanied the UK prime minster at the time, David Cameron, in his business delegation to China. He also acted as a non-executive director for the China-Britain Business Council between 2011 and 2017.
Oreste has worked in semiconductors for over thirty years holding senior positions at Texas Instruments, Micron Technology and, currently, KLA. His in-depth knowledge of the global semi-conductor industry, coupled with his extensive experience across strategic, operational and business development C suite roles, will be invaluable in helping Sondrel achieve its expansion goals.
On joining he commented that he is delighted to be working with Sondrel, adding that the company has long established itself as a leader in custom chip design and is now focussing on the fast-growing end markets where innovative companies need leading-edge custom design solutions. With over 30 years’ experience in the global semiconductor industry, he will be able to provide first hand advice and counsel on how to best service customers who need its specialist skills and personal service.
Senior Management Team
As Chief Operating Officer, Anthony plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of every aspect of Sondrel’s operations around the world. His considerable people and organisational skills come from being the CEO at Refeyn where he was prior to joining Sondrel in 2023. Before that he was VP Asia Pacific for Teledyne Technologies
He has a BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering from City, University of London and a Masters in Business Administration from Imperial College London.
Hilary is an experienced Director of Business Operations with a long history of working in the semiconductors industry across China, Morocco, India and Europe, gained from working at Sondrel since 2008. She is adept at working with SMEs and within a fast-paced growing business environment. Hilary has strong skills within the selection, training and development of the staff and their wellbeing on a global scale. She is experienced at working closely with business trade organisations in these regions.
Hilary has a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from Bournemouth University.

Mat Rowe is our Head of Projects. There can be few more challenging areas to project manage than satellites except perhaps for atomic energy and Mat has spent nearly 40 years doing both! His impressive CV includes work for the UK Atomic Energy Authority, Oxford Space Systems, NASA, the European Space Agency and Spire Global. No wonder he is a Fellow of the Association of Project Management. Who better to ensure our philosophy delivering projects on time and budget to agreed requirements continues!
